History
Lynda Batchelor Barker, RDR, moved to Juneau in 1980, joining Taku Reporters, which later became Glacier Stenographic Reporters, Inc.
With over 30 years of experience in the court reporting industry, Lynda Batchelor Barker has earned the distinction of being at the top of her profession.
Lynda Batchelor Barker, RDR
Holds the Registered Diplomate Reporter (RDR) certification from the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA), which is the highest level of certification available to court reporters.
Was named a Fellow of the Academy of Professionals Reporters of NCRA.
Serves as Chairman of the Independent Study Task Force for NCRA, and served as Chairman of the Council of the Academy of Professional Reporters from 1996-2000.
Serves as Treasurer of the Alaska Shorthand Reporters Association.
Has written numerous articles for publications including NCRA's Journal of Court Reporting, the Alaska Bar Association's Bar Rag, and the Eclipse Software Professionals Network's Newscache, the Alaska Shorthand Reporters Association's publications, and has spoken before these groups numerous times.
